Job Purpose:
We are looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented Staff Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in assisting with the processing of various applications, responding to inquiries, and ensuring service standards are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist at the PLRD Service Counter during peak periods to address customer inquiries.
- Handle and process Service Replies (SRs) related to applications, licenses, training competencies, and refresher quizzes.
- Manage SRs concerning personal, MHA, and MP appeals.
- Respond to emails from applicants regarding the submission of required documents.
- Answer phone inquiries through the SID’s dedicated hotline.
- Track and monitor the status of SID’s SRs and appeals.
- Ensure that Service Standards for SRs and appeals are consistently met.
- Contact applicants for additional information as required for license applications.
- Provide guidance to applicants on submission requirements and procedures.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
- Work experience in licensing processes or at least 5 GCE ‘O’ Level credits, including English.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Competent in computer use and able to manage tasks under pressure.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to adhere to Supervisor’s instructions, with working hours strictly from Monday to Friday.
