Strategic Operations Lead (Founder's Office)

Key Responsibilities and Time Allocation:

Strategic Initiative Management (40%):

  1. Work directly with the founders to define strategic initiatives and independently oversee their execution from conception to completion
  2. Take the lead in high-impact projects spanning across multiple functions to drive growth and scale, ensuring that they are progressing as planned and making real-time adjustments when necessary.
  3. Lead operational initiatives to expand Blood’s footprint in Southeast Asia and beyond

Operational Oversight & Continuous Improvement (30%):

  1. Oversee the company’s core operations and work with department leaders to improve process efficiency and streamline workflows / consider operational best practices to ensure the company is well-positioned for scaling.
  2. Implement stage-appropriate tools and systems that enable better visibility, accountability, and drive continuous improvement of operational execution across the business together with leaders and managers
  3. Step into operational, marketing, sales, product, supply chain or financial roles as needed to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues

Strategic Leadership and Cross-functional Collaboration (25%):

  1. Work closely with all functional teams (sales, marketing, supply chain, etc.) to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  2. Break down silos and foster collaboration between departments to ensure that initiatives are executed smoothly and goals are met.
  3. Ensure that all stakeholders are kept in the loop and that resources are allocated efficiently to support operational needs.
  4. Participate in monthly board meetings, providing operational updates and contributing to strategic discussions.
  5. Collaborate with co-founders to translate board-level strategies into actionable operational plans.

Resource Allocation & Risk Management (5%):

  1. Assess resource needs and manage the allocation of time, people, and budget across strategic initiatives.
  2. Identify operational risks early and work with teams to mitigate potential issues.
  3. Ensure timely resolution of challenges related to capacity, budget constraints, or operational inefficiencies

Qualifications:

  1. 7-10 years in a strategic operations role, with a track record of leading high-impact projects and initiatives.
  2. Strong operational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee complex, cross-functional work.
  3. Deep understanding of operational KPIs and how to drive efficiencies in a growing business.
  4. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to work across teams and build relationships.
  5. Data-driven, analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

Success Metrics:

  • Successful execution and timely delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Improvement in operational and performance KPIs.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with minimal bottlenecks or operational issues.
  • Measurable contributions to overall company growth and scalability.
