Responsibilities
• Provide Level 2 support for IBM AIX operating systems and related technologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues on IBM AIX systems.
• Perform system administration tasks such as installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX servers.
• Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimise performance.
• To perform disaster recovery support and testing on IBM AIX systems.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate AIX systems into the overall IT infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to AIX systems and configurations.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner.
• Identify and implement security measures to protect AIX systems from potential threats.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in AIX and related technologies.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ information systems/ information technology or related field.
• Experience in managing complex AIX environments.
• Proficient in virtualisation technologies such as SR-IOV,SEA, PowerVM Virtual I/O Server (VIOS), HACMP, Spectrum Scale(GPFS)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications, such as IBM Certified Specialist - Power Systems or IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert - Power Systems, are a plus
