Job Description
- Plan, develop and monitor work schedules to ensure timely completion of allocated tasks and schedules
- Prepare reports to clients and project manager on progress, delays, defects and rectification measures for the M&E works
- To check and assess temporary works by the contractors on site to ensure that the C&S, M&E and building works are safe and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
- To ensure that records of all mechanical and electrical engineering works including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety, etc, are timely updated and properly kept, to facilitate the project completion, Rl, TOP and CSC inspections, and Handing Over and Taking Over (HOTO).
- Check and ensure that all mechanical and electrical works are executed in accordance with the design, specifications and codes of practice.
- To make inspections of the works performed and to be performed on site so as to ensure that the works are being executed according to the necessary standards, performance, quality and workmanship.
- Liaise and coordinate with client and/or the Consultant/ Qualified Person to resolve technical and/or interfacing issues with other Site Management Services and contractors.
- To verify reports and claims submitted by subcontractors / vendors/ suppliers and specialist contractors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent (due to Project requirement, qualification has to be PEBoard recognised)
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in construction industry for Civil Engineering projects is preferred
