- Responsible for the strategic sourcing, inventory management goals of the company and implement action items to ensure that goals are achieved
- Participate in establishing short-term and long-range planning and budget development of the company to support strategic business goals
- Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives.
- Establishes purchasing policies and ensures compliance ISO requirements, assist in customers audit when neededResponsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
- Set department KPI and lead team to develop forecasts for future demand and place orders accurately based on vendor lead-time.
- Come up with solution for Excess and Obsolescence inventory.
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models with cross-functional stakeholders from Quality, Manufacturing, Assembly/Planning & Customer Support and Logistics departments.
- Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers or to switch supplier by conducting localization or to build up dual source strategy.
- Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
- Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization
- Manage and mentor procurement and purchasing staffs, as well as work on their professional growth & development
- Any other tasks assigned
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, preferable Manufacturing/Mechanical/Mechatronics, and at least five (5) years purchasing/strategic sourcing experience.
- Minimum 5 years working experiences in manufacturing environment
- Experience of managing Profit & Loss responsibilities for manufacturing
- A self-starter, motivated and able to positively motivate others can-do attitude
- Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria)
- Strong preference for some international sourcing experience
- Excellent leadership, team player, people management skills
