General Responsibilities:
-The ICSS Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the safety of personnel working under his supervision and to ensure that work is planned and executed in accordance with Company policies for Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental protection. He or she has following general responsibilities:
-Participate in definition of project system/sub-system structure.
-Participate in defining ICSS scope of work for refurbishment, conversion and topsides.
-Prepare system sub system and boundary markup drawing for ICSS system
-Prepare system documentation and procedures for commissioning scope in line with system responsibility matrix.
-Closure and handover of Pre-commissioning and commissioning completion’s execution scope in line with system responsibility matrix.
-Closure and acceptance of system punch list post hand-over in line with system responsibility matrix.
-Package Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) - documents review and verification of ‘punch’ items against received equipment.
-Verify and record module main scope contractors Pre-Commissioning activities (like control system, Hot/Cold loop and ICSS system checking)
-Coordinate with ICSS vendor to complete all related ICSS system commissioning
-Coordinate with ICSS commissioning/ Instrument Technician to complete the ICSS commissioning Task
- Ensure that commissioning is performed in accordance with all specified requirements and with results satisfactory to Client.
Functional Know-How:
-Familiar with ICSS control system for large complex capital FPSO projects. / Worked as ICSS Commissioning Engineer in Minimum two FPSO projects,
-Familiar Control system requirements for major Oil & Gas industry.
Communication & Influence:
- Good communication (written & verbal) skills are required due to frequent interactions internally and externally (Clients & Contractors).
- Able to communicate at all levels within the organization

- An Engineering degree or equivalent from a good university is mandatory

Special Responsibilities and Tasks:
The responsibilities of the ICSS Commissioning Engineer include the following specific duties:
- Prepare and allocate “B” ITR check sheets for the project, and to equipment types and tags.
- Review System and Sub-System responsibilities for the ICSS team.
- Attend FAT for vendor package equipment as required by FAT manager.
- Prepare and write the System Commissioning Procedures for the ICSS/Control system scope, as per
the responsibility matrix.
- Monitor, Pre-Commissioning and Punch lists status on Completions database and prepare systems
ready for commissioning.
- Walk downs, punch list and acceptance of Mechanical completion of systems as per responsibility
matrix.
- Manage and Co-ordinate Lead and discipline techs to ensure most efficient coverage of resources in
line with commissioning plan.
- Verify and record module main scope contractors Pre-Commissioning activities (like control system,
Hot/Cold loop and ICSS system checking)
- Ensure that commissioning is performed in accordance with all specified requirements and withresults satisfactory to Client.
- Lead the ICSS team to verify Cause and Effect of the FPSO project
- Execute the FPSO control narrative coordinate with all other discipline leads and operation team
together with ICSS vendor
- Conduct review meetings with construction to coordinate Inspection Test Records (ITRs) flow path
is in accordance with system planning of relevant systems.
- Liaise with database co-ordinator on certification release and acceptance.
- Review and accept system / sub-system SMCC (System Mechanical Completion Certificate) with
associated agreed punch list items.
- Responsible for change management of system after initial implementation. To include any
associated system configuration / correction / modification works are properly incorporated as per
change control management.
- Responsible for review, implementation and closure of TQ’s raised on a discipline or system level.
- Identify and prepare required test equipment, spare parts and temporaries with Contractor, Vendor
or Shipyard for pre-commissioning and commissioning of system.
- Ownership and review Commissioning Packages/ Dossiers as assigned in the system responsibility
matrix.
- Prepare report for Commissioning manager on a weekly basis of all ICSS/Control system activities
related to commissioning on a system-by-system basis as per responsibility matrix
- Prepare ICSS /control system related document and execute the ITR accordingly
- Travel to offshore project sites and perform offshore commissioning / assist facility startup.
