Infant Care Teacher (Odyssey The Global Preschool- Fourth Avenue)
An Infant Teacher at Odyssey is a passionate early childhood educator dedicated to nurturing young children. The role involves working closely with the Infant Curriculum Specialist (CS) and a team of infant teachers, sharing caregiving and interaction responsibilities to create a warm, supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY)
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English (or Chinese for Chinese Infant Teachers)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with staff, parents, families, and community partners from diverse backgrounds
- Highly motivated, energetic, and passionate about promoting children’s learning and development
- Teaching experience is a plus, but not mandatory
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Developing the Whole Child – Curriculum and Pedagogy
- Collaborate with the CS and teaching team to plan and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with Odyssey’s teaching approaches and pedagogy.
- Use ongoing observations of children to develop intentional and differentiated strategies tailored to their individual needs.
- Foster trusting, respectful, and responsive interactions with children, building strong relationships.
2. Learning Environment
- Work with the team to design and create an optimal learning environment that supports children's growth and development.
3. Health, Safety, and Nutrition
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures and standards related to health, safety, nutrition, and hygiene, maintaining the highest level of care for the children.
Collaborating with Families and Communities:

- Build strong, collaborative partnerships with families to ensure continuity of care between home and school.
- Engage in customer-centric communication, ensuring personalized, meaningful interactions with families.
- Support and participate in school-community initiatives that strengthen family-school connections.
