Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team for a Pop-Up Booth selling traditional Japanese Kimonos at Takashimaya Shopping Centre from 11th November to 25th November 2024. This is a short-term, part-time role where you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting with product sales, and promoting Japanese cultural heritage through high-quality kimonos.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to assist them in selecting and purchasing products.
- Sales: Actively promote and upsell a range of Japanese kimonos and accessories, meeting daily and weekly sales targets.
- Product Knowledge: Learn and share knowledge about the products, their origins, craftsmanship, and cultural significance.
- Cash Register: Handle transactions accurately and process payments through point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Merchandising: Ensure the booth is well-organized, stocked, and visually appealing at all times.
- Stock Management: Assist in the restocking of products, inventory checks, and ensuring product availability.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive working environment.

- Detail-Oriented: Ability to pay attention to the details, including product presentation, customer needs, and transaction accuracy.

- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and support fellow team members throughout the duration of the pop-up booth.
Important Notes:
- No days off: The role requires working every day from 11th November to 25th November 2024, with no days off during this period.
- Full-time hours: Candidates must be available to work from 9:30 AM – 9:30 PM.
Basic Requirements:
- Sales Experience: Prior experience in sales, preferably in a retail environment.
- Communication Skills: Fluent in English with strong communication skills, verbal
- Customer Focused: A passion for customer service with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Preferred Requirements:
- Apparel Industry Experience: Prior experience in retail or sales in the apparel or fashion industry is a strong advantage.
- Interest in Japanese Culture: A genuine interest in or basic knowledge of Japanese culture, traditions, and clothing will be beneficial.
