Job Summary
Land Surveyor/Construction Coordinator’s primary work is performing precise measurements to determine property boundaries and provide data relevant to the shape, contour, elevation or dimension of land for engineering and construction purposes. On site job duties include reporting site progression, ordering of construction materials, maintenance of site facilities, ensuring all site health and safety rules and regulations are abided by, daily scheduling and allocation of manpower, and issuing of work instructions as stipulated by project requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites and calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines and other characteristics of terrain for construction purpose.
- Coordinate findings and measurements with the work of engineers and architects and other concerned with the project.
- Liaising with trade coordinator, client’s representatives and subcontractors on construction works
- Monitor subcontractors’ works, from their manpower supply as well as day-to-day activities ensuring conformity to health, safety and quality standards to safeguard that works are carried according to work method statement and in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirement.
- Maintain accurate record of completed works to facilitate Project contractual claims and/or payment to subcontractors or suppliers.
- Handle site planning through efficient allocation of manpower and materials, responsibility includes ordering and ensuring materials and equipment supplied to the project are serviceable and accordance to specifications, and in compliance with authority requirements as well as managing or controlling of wastage
- Execute site works from constant checking of drawing (plan and detail) and perform regular checks on work standards as well as preparation of daily report for inspection and reporting of non-conformance to Project Manager
- Attend internal and external meeting
- Coordinating hand-over of completed works to the client upon completion of required rectification work and assist QS on verification of claim as well as in tender preparation.
- Perform other project-related duties assigned by the Project Manager, Asst. Project Manager, Architect and Engineers (Structure and MEP) and other duties assigned by Management
