As an Innovation & Flavour Application Scientist at Performance Labs, you will play a crucial role in the product development process by supporting the formulation team.
You will work closely with senior formulation scientists and contribute to the development, optimization, and testing of food product formulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Formulation Development:
- Collaborate with senior formulation scientists to assist in the development of new food products.
- Execute formulation experiments, following established protocols and procedures.
- Contribute to the design and testing of prototypes to meet product specifications.
Flavour Development:
- Focus on creating flavours that have a long shelf life, are allergy-safe, and have broad appeal with consumers,
- Responsibilities involve performing research in accordance with dietary and safety regulations.
Quality Control:
- Conduct sensory evaluations and analytical testing to ensure the consistency and quality of formulations.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving formulation-related issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of formulation experiments, including detailed notes and results.
- Prepare reports summarizing key findings, observations, and recommendations.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including research and development, quality assurance, and production, to support formulation projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members to share progress, challenges, and insights.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about industry trends, new ingredients, and emerging technologies in food science.
- Participate in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in formulation techniques.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of international experience in Flavouring, Food Product Development and Formulation.
- Strong understanding of food science principles and experimental design.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
