Position Overview:
The Procurement Executive is responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services for the organisation. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that procurement processes align with company policies and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality and reliability.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular assessments.
Purchasing:
- Execute purchasing processes for goods and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, and track order status.
- Manage inventory levels and optimize stock availability.
Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to inform procurement decisions.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
- Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and forecasts related to procurement.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
Prerequisite:
- Diploma and above in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimally 3 years of related experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Location: Kallang Pudding @ Macpherson.
- Working hours: 8.30am – 6.00pm (Mon to Fri)
- Salary: $3,000 - $3,500
