The Nursing Quality Clinical Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in patient care and nursing standards. This role involves mentoring, evaluating clinical competencies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Education and Training:Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs that enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and seminars for nursing staff on quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practices.
- Clinical Mentorship:Provide hands-on clinical instruction and mentorship to nursing staff, guiding them in delivering high-quality patient care.
Conduct competency assessments and evaluations to ensure staff proficiency in clinical skills.
- Quality Improvement:Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify areas for quality improvement and develop strategies to address them.
Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:Monitor nursing practices and outcomes, utilizing data to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
Prepare reports on training outcomes, competency evaluations, and quality metrics.
- Collaboration:Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote a culture of quality and safety across the hospital.
Serve as a resource for nursing staff regarding clinical best practices and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required); Master’s degree in Nursing or related field (preferred).
- Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with a focus on quality improvement or education.
Previous experience in a clinical instructor or nurse educator role is highly desirable.
- Licensure:Valid nursing license from Singapore or equivalent in the region.
- Skills:Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Proficient in data analysis and the use of quality improvement tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
