Qualifications & experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Construction M&E.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E details, working drawings and local construction practices (SMACNA, ASHRAE, SS COP, FSSD, NEA).
  • Conversant in using BIM & CAD to prepare design and submission documents and coordinate and resolve technical and site issues.
  • Good team player and analytical and problem solver, Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels.
  • Organised and systematic to file day-to-day records, contracts and project files/documents.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Systems Design & Calculation, cost estimation, preparation of plans and engineering design (BIM, CAD) following code and standards (SMACNA, ASHRAE, SS COP, FSSD, NEA).
  • Obtain and review supplier/contractor's submissions for completeness, per specifications.
  • Supervise and review site works according to design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements.
  • Preparation of schedule, monitor project progress and preparation of regular progress reports.
  • Managing subordinates to maintain and ensure project quality and deliverables are met.
  • Organising daily work records throughout the project to ensure progress and changes are tracked and variations promptly raised to stakeholders.
