The Opportunity
The incumbent shall act as first level support and resolution to all reported issues, incidents and queries related to IT (hardware, software and company's application) and participate in all infrastructure improvement activities. Daily tasks will include managing the helpdesk service requests, incidents, hardware maintenance and end user support. This shall also include supporting of collaboration communication, systems and telecommunications system. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following IT Support and Services:
- Provide first level end user support and resolution, for telephone/email enquiries and issues/incidents related to Hardware, Applications and in-house software (troubleshooting, VPN, wireless, etc)
- Logging of all IT service desk calls and service requests; these include documentation of all user issues/requests/resolution into ticketing system
- Working closely with IT System Engineering team to ensure compliance to operational requirement, security processes and provide IT technical assistance wherever necessary
- Working closely with IT Software team to ensure escalated tickets are attended to and closed. Provide software IT technical assistance wherever necessary
- Participate in IT projects when required; not restricting to Infrastructure activities only
Requirements
- Diploma in Computer Engineering or related
- At least 2-3 years of onsite desktop support experience in hardware diagnosis and troubleshooting in a medium-large size organization
- Hands-on experience in supporting PC/notebook hardware, network printer, MS Windows and standard software (MS office, Antivirus, internet browser) and Outlook client, desktop setup, wireless setup, Active directory, VPN setup/troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of System Server Administration
- Good communicator with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment to engage and motivate team members
- Positive attitude, able to work well with culturally and geographically diverse teams
