Responsibilities:
• Implement and standardize supply chain processes, methodologies and tools across the APAC region for chemicals; drive improvements in operational excellence using Lean Six Sigma and other approaches.
• Develop a roadmap for and execute the business plan for Chemicals APAC, driving efficiencies and synergies while ensuring customer service, quality and delivery metrics are maintained/improved.
• Support future M&A, such as operational due diligence and operational integration for acquisition.
• Drive the implementation of supply chain IT systems; scout for, select and implement new technologies and systems and processes.
• Continuously build team capabilities through individual and team development programs.
• Develop and drive the sales activity.
• Work across all Lines of Businesses and functional areas to identify and jointly implement cost-saving and service-enhancing opportunities and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong positive relationships and communication with key external customers, including the delivery of plans to optimize the value proposition.
• Represent the Chemicals APAC BU to internal stakeholders, such as the C-Suite and financial sponsors, and external stakeholders, such as customers and suppliers.
• Build a culture that supports the strategic direction of the organization, fostering an environment that values individual as well as team contributions, encourages innovation, champions change, and values diversity.
Requirements:
• Experience with a top-performing supply chain or operations organization.
• Strong commercial orientation and customer-first mentality.
• Proven sales track record within the chemicals or similar industry serving complex customer groups such as aerospace, electronics and industrial customer base Supply Chain Transformation
• Experience standing up or upgrading a function or team in an environment characterized by change and ambiguity, preferably an M&A integration.
• Experienced in delivered synergies via tools such as LEAN, footprint rationalization, SKU rationalization and inventory management with significant and sustained impact to the P&L and Cash Flow.
• Ability to develop a robust strategic vision, translate it to an implementation plan and execute flawlessly.
• Ability to teach and develop new organizational competencies relative to strategy, planning and project management.
• Experience in a lightly resourced mid-cap company with focus on financial discipline and sense of urgency.
• Higher education degree (or equivalent).
