Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a Service Technician (Medium Speed Engine) in Singapore.
The primary responsibilities for this position will be to (but not limited to):
- Performs replacement of parts and assemblies under the guide of service engineer.
- Under the guide of service engineer, works from service manuals, maintenance manuals, and facility equipment schematics.
- Performs tasks with minimum supervision using experience and good judgment.
- Must be able to operate all maintenance equipment and exercise all construction equipment safely for intended purpose.
- Communicates verbally in an effective manner with technical staff, other employees and vendors on facility equipment problems or suggested improvements.
- Use basic soldering and brazing skills as needed.
- Possess a basic understanding of facility systems and construction techniques.
* You will be entitled to overtime pay if overtime work is required .
* This role may be required to travel for work overseas occasionally.
Required Skill and Experience:
- Must have vessel engine repair experience
- Should demonstrate good mechanical comprehension and strong communication skills with technical staff and fellow employees
- Knowledge of maintenance, ability to communicate with other technical personnel and machine repair practices and procedures
