About the role
The Associate Director will be a key leader within the Corporate Reputation (CPR) and Public Affairs (PA) team at Ipsos Singapore. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of public and private sector client projects, overseeing a team of researchers, and ensuring successful project execution. The Associate Director must possess a deep understanding of research methodologies and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for clients.
What you will do
1. Team & Project Management:
- Lead and manage a team of researchers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional development. This includes conducting performance reviews and creating development plans in collaboration with the business area Director.
- Oversee the execution of both CPR and PA projects, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality outputs, and client satisfaction.
- Direct complex, high-value projects, demonstrating advanced research skills and knowledge.
- Take ownership of project profitability and manage budgets effectively.
- Proactively resolve project-related issues and ensure the team operates efficiently.
2. Client Engagement & Business Development:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and identifying opportunities for repeat business.
- Actively participate in business development initiatives, contributing to the growth of the CPR and PA business unit.
- Collaborate with the business area Director to develop and implement client development plans.
- Represent Ipsos as a brand ambassador, showcasing the company's expertise and values to clients.
3. Research & Insights:
- Design and implement research projects utilizing advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques.
- Analyze research data to generate meaningful insights that address client challenges and inform their decision-making.
- Deliver compelling presentations and workshops to clients, effectively communicating research findings and recommendations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in corporate reputation, public affairs, and market research.
Who you are
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced research professional with a proven track record in corporate reputation and/or public affairs. You should possess;
- Substantial experience in managing research projects and teams, ideally within a consultancy or agency environment.
- Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with the ability to apply them appropriately to different client challenges.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- A deep understanding of the Singaporean business landscape, including both the public and private sectors.
