IT and Systems Manager

The IT and Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's information technology and systems infrastructure. This role involves providing first-level technical support to users and collaborating with vendors for second- and third-level support. The manager will handle daily operations of IT systems, ensure network security, implement IT policies, and manage system upgrades. This position requires collaboration with other departments to ensure that technology effectively supports business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support and User Training:Oversee the delivery of first-level technical support to employees and departments.
   Manage vendor relationships for second- and third-level support and issue resolution.
   Develop and implement user training programs for IT systems and tools.
   Establish an IT helpdesk service to efficiently address technical issues.
   Create and maintain clear documentation of system-related processes for training and compliance.
   
2. IT Infrastructure Management:Manage, maintain, and enhance all IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
   Ensure high availability of IT services by managing backups, disaster recovery, and contingency plans.
   Implement and maintain server architecture, cloud services, and data centers.
   
3. System Administration:Administer servers, databases, and networking equipment.
   Monitor systems, perform performance tuning, and troubleshoot issues promptly.
   Manage the integration of various software platforms to ensure seamless functionality.
   
4. Network and Security Management:Design and maintain secure and reliable networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) and VPN connections.
   Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
   Regularly update security policies and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
   
5. Project Management:Lead and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
   
6. Vendor and Asset Management:Manage relationships with third-party vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee service level agreements (SLAs).
   Procure and manage IT hardware and software assets for efficient usage and cost-effectiveness.
   Track and manage IT inventory, ensuring timely upgrades and replacements.
   
7. Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, providing guidance and support.
   Recruit and train new team members while managing performance through regular feedback and evaluations.
   Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment within the IT department.
   
8. Strategic IT Planning:Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with business goals.
   Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance business operations and efficiencies.
   Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending solutions that provide a competitive advantage.
   

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Manager, Systems Manager, or in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of system administration, network security, cloud services, and data management.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and user management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.

Skills and Competencies:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Navision, Microsoft Excel, and Jet Report.
• Strong technical expertise in systems administration and network infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with industry best practices in IT governance and security.
• Experience in the F&B industry, particularly in sales, procurement, and inventory management processes, is a plus.
