Job Summary:
Lead the Information Technology team to ensure efficient, secure, and legally compliant IT systems and support across the hotel, in alignment with COMO Hotels and Resorts' policies.
Tasks/ Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Implementation: Plan, implement, and manage the hotel’s IT systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure alignment with overall hotel objectives and COMO’s standards.
- Stakeholder Liaison & Systems Enhancement: Engage with stakeholders to understand their IT needs, evaluate existing systems, recommend enhancements, and provide regular progress reports.
- Security & Compliance:Perform regular testing, updating, and application of security patches. Ensure all IT operations comply with legal requirements and internal policies, including maintaining a robust disaster recovery plan.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects to address client department needs, including the creation of detailed project schedules and timelines.
- Technology Updates: Stay updated on the latest IT developments in both hardware and software. Attend user group meetings and report on emerging issues or opportunities.
- Policy & Procedure Management:Ensure IT system policies and procedures are current and comprehensive, with regular reviews and updates, especially regarding health and safety regulations.
- Communication: Communicate IT-related issues, changes, and updates to end-users via appropriate channels, including team meetings.
- User Documentation: Develop, maintain, and update user manuals for all hardware and software systems.
- Supplier & Contract Management:Collaborate with the Purchasing team to oversee supplier contracts, ensuring optimal service delivery.
- Team Training & Development:Provide ongoing training for IT team members and establish a realistic training schedule. Manage team performance through regular appraisals.
- Database Administration:Oversee the administration of multi-user databases, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Budget Management: Manage the IT department’s capital and revenue budgets in close collaboration with the Financial Controller.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews of team members, fostering continuous improvement and development.
- Strategy Development: Lead the development, implementation, and review of IT systems and strategies in consultation with Department Heads/Directors.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure IT department operations align with COMO Hotels and Resorts' product specifications and Leading Quality Assurance standards.
- Systems Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all hotel systems to ensure their optimal utilization.
