We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our Global Reefer Business Development team. Based in Singapore, this role is crucial in driving the strategic planning, operational management, and profitable growth of our reefer business worldwide. The successful candidate will lead a network of experts, collaborate across various teams, and ensure the efficient and safe handling of reefer cargo shipments. If you have a passion for the maritime industry and a drive for innovation, this is the role for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead global initiatives involving reefer containers, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for reefer operations across all trades.
  • Identify market trends and customer demands to drive innovation and enhance service offerings.
  • Collaborate with Regional Offices (ROs) and manage global reefer handling, including commercial activities.
  • Coordinate closely with Trade teams to manage an efficient quotation process.
  • Ensure effective operational workflows and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Oversee coordination between sales, customer service, operations, and logistics to ensure seamless reefer shipments.
  • Manage the budget for reefer operations, focusing on profitability and revenue growth.
  • Handle insurance-related matters for sensitive and high-value reefer cargo.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to navigate market dynamics and identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear performance objectives, conduct evaluations, and provide professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain resilience in managing unexpected situations and guide the team through challenges in the shipping market.
  • Drive the division’s success by achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing critical strategies.

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or the logistics industry, with a focus on reefer cargo operations.
  • Proven success in managing and growing a reefer cargo division, including P&L responsibility.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures related to reefer cargo.
