Job Type: Contract (Tentative Nov 2024 - Feb 2025)
Job Requirements
1) Provide workplace safety and fire safety advice and oversee the fire and safety aspect required for Chingay 2025 in proper order.
2) Work closely with the Authority to plan a framework/proposal that can be implemented to meet the event’s needs while keeping in compliance with the regulatory requirement imposed by both
government authorities and venue owners.
3) Manage and monitor the workplace safety and fire safety for all set-up, tear-down, rehearsals and show by working closely with the appointed contractors to ensure that all tasks are completed according to all regulations.
5) Conduct daily site recces and inspections with relevant personnel/contractor as part of work monitoring. To document the daily monitoring and mitigation measures taken after observations where applicable.
6) Work with the appointed Technical Team and Site Manager to manage, consolidate and check through the submission (including Risk Assessments) by the appointed contractors and advise on any changes required to meet all government agencies regulatory requirements and to ensure all technical drawings are endorsed by the correct authority with necessary permits obtained.
7) Create documents which are related to workplace safety and health (WSH proposal and risk assessment) and fire safety requirement for various permits submissions when required by the Authority.
8) Provide necessary assistance regarding workplace safety and fire safety issues during all rehearsals, technical runs, actual show day and tear down.
9) Work as a Team with Site Manager and act as a covering for site manager duties. A weekly work roster will be work out for both personnel.
Must haves
1. A certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with at least 2 years of relevant experience in work site safety management. Experience in events safety management will have an advantage.
2. Preferably with knowledge of regulatory requirements from government agencies, such as SCDF, MOM and NEA etc.
3. Preferably attained relevant certification (minimally WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B)
4. Preferably possess a Class 3/3A driving license.
5. A good team player who can multi-task, work with all levels of people and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
6. Independent, observant, responsible and able to perform operational tasks assigned.
