Systems Application Engineer - Semicon Equipment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and document testing protocols for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Leverage your knowledge of backend semiconductor manufacturing processes to inform testing methodologies and validate equipment performance in real-world scenarios.
  • Work closely with R&D engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define testing requirements, analyze data, and recommend improvements.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and data interpretation skills to assess equipment performance and reliability, presenting findings to engineering and management teams.
  • Ientify and troubleshoot issues in equipment functionality and performance, providing actionable feedback to the engineering team for design improvements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of testing procedures, results, and equipment specifications to ensure knowledge transfer and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
  • 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, specifically in backend processes.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor testing methodologies and validation processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes (e.g., packaging, assembly, testing).
  • Previous experience in an R&D environment is advantageous.
