Accounting Trainer

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions on accounting topics such as Financial Statements, Accounting Equation, Debits and Credits, and other related topics.
  • Design, develop, and update course materials and training documentation, including manuals and online resources, to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Identify training needs and upgrade existing materials to align with industry trends and organizational requirements.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of training projects, ensuring that objectives are met, from development to delivery and assessment.
  • Deliver training to diverse audiences, including employees, learners, and external stakeholders, both on-site and off-site.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to learners, addressing both group and individual needs to improve their performance.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of training through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Stay updated on industry updates and best practices, incorporating relevant changes into the training curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and participants’ progress.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/ACCA/CA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in conducting accounting-related training for various groups of learners, with a passion for imparting knowledge.
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) / Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) or WSQ Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) / Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDLP) certifications are desired.
  • Proficient in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and training evaluation techniques.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using training software and tools (e.g., LMS, e-learning platforms, multimedia tools).
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on adapting to changing technology and business needs.
  • Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
