The Part Leader of Sales Engineering has a direct report to the RHQ AC Team Leader and will be responsible for in total 5 employees.
Main goals of the position
The main goal of the Part Leader of Sales Engineering is dual. On the one hand to increase, strengthen and professionalise the pre-sales in Southeast Asia & Oceania, and on the other hand to enhance the post-sales system and procedures of our air conditioning units.
The Position
- Responsible for the development - and subsequently the execution - of a solid pre-sales & service strategy, and vision for the coming years;
- Manage the Southeast Asian & Oceanian Training Centers : establishment and keeping them up to date, budget planning and control;
- Aligning the training planning with the sales objectives and new product launching;
- Enhance the builders/contractors network in the different Asian countries;
- Monthly quality follow up and organising regular quality meetings with all local service teams;
- Warranty and spare parts analysis;
- If necessary, support the team in their operational activities; i.e. gathering specifications for the projects in pre-sales, accompany business development team in visiting prospects, etc.
- Focus on close collaboration with the responsible country heads and also on the local pre sales and business development teams in the different countries;
- Responsible for the yearly determination of the figures and targets per country (success ratio) and follow up.
- Develop new business idea’s and models to support the company’s growth.
- Improve contacts with the internal- and external relevant stakeholders;
- Operational Excellence and KPI management;
- Organisation of sharing knowledge conferences internally and externally.
- Coach and lead the team.
The Profile
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Engineering preferably supplemented with a Commercial degree or an equivalent in working experience;
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior international commercial development role within a technical/mechanical building engineering environment (network) with preferably HVAC knowledge;
- Someone with a passion for engineering and is used to consultative selling, knows what is important and is technical achievable to create an ideal situation for the customer;
- Someone who is used to work within complex matrix and international environments;
- Has a strong network in the mechanical building branch and their clients in Asia;
- Someone who has vision of the building/installation/HVAC market, is used to look ahead;
- Who takes responsibility for his actions and knows how to enthuse his team and country heads;
- A qualified candidate demonstrates strong leadership skills with an ability to convince the team and peers;
- An organized, effective and positive people manager who has proven experience in coaching and managing multicultural teams;
- Excellent communication skills are a necessity for this position. The position is a supervisory role and communication must be effective towards the team and also towards the international HQ in Korea and several local country organizations;
- As a person he/she must be empathetic, persuasive, a real go-getter, confident, creative and a strong representative of the pre sales and business development team within the internal organization and also towards the external contact persons;
- An excellent knowledge (speaking and writing) of the English language is mandatory and preferably any additional Asian language;
- Actively travelling within Southeast Asia & Oceania (20%).
