Regional Project Lead (Medical Device MNC / Commercial Projects)

Position Summary:
The incumbent will manage assigned improvement projects and initiatives across the commercial organisation within the APAC region. This role interfaces with key stakeholders to ensure that projects run successfully and achieve performance indicators in areas such as People, Quality, Service, and Value. The primary focus is to identify, evaluate, develop, implement, and drive strategic initiatives at a regional level while aligning with global standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned strategic projects and initiatives across the APAC region’s commercial organisation.
  • Drive projects to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, timeline, and quality expectations.
  • Develop business cases and conduct cost-benefit analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and other defined stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Apply Project Management methodologies to deliver projects in a structured manner.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Identify and address project resourcing and capability requirements.
  • Manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate project status, issues, risks, and scope changes to the Senior Program Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach project team members to enhance their capabilities and engagement.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

APAC Key Relationships/Interfaces:

The role is critical for providing leadership and excellence in strategic project management, driving change through execution, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders across various functions such as Commercial, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance, Tax & Finance, Legal, and IT, as well as external partners like distributors, 4PL/3PL providers, vendors, and customers.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE II) preferred.
  • Approximately 8 years’ experience in business case development, cost-benefit analysis, and leading projects.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery using project management methodologies from initiation to closure.
  • Experience in matrixed organisations, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to foster effective working relationships across all levels.
  • Skilled communicator with a history of driving achievement of objectives.
  • Highly organised, meticulous, and detail-oriented.
  • Strategic thinker with a growth mindset who can balance pragmatic delivery.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
