Role Overview:
The company is looking for a Business Controller to take charge of essential operational and financial activities across the region. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with a background in business partnering who is eager to step into a more senior, strategic leadership position. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management to ensure the company's regional business goals are successfully met.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead annual budget development and management for sales, inventory, expenses, and P&L.
· Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports to support decision-making.
· Manage operational functions (HR/IT/Legal) to align with company objectives.
· Oversee monthly financial close processes and communicate updates to stakeholders.
· Review P&L, identify risks, and implement corrective action plans.
· Collaborate with teams on store openings, closures, and business operations.
· Ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations through audits.
· Drive financial strategy through engagement with various business functions.
Requirements:
· 8+ years of experience in finance business partnering or a similar role.
· 2-3 years of experience managing teams.
· Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
· Proficiency in English; fluency in Japanese is preferred.
· Experience in the retail sector, particularly in apparel and fashion, is preferred.
