Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.


Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation.

Operations spans all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.


The Prime Brokerage (PB) Operations team operates in a dynamic environment where you will be required to multi-task with the right priority in order to support a fast paced business environment.


Duties:

Prime Brokerage (PB) Middle Office within Global Markets Division Operations, provides a suite of services to hedge funds and other professional investors, which at high level includes trade and cash transaction processing, settlement & fail/mismatch management and facilitation of various client requested asset transfers and conversions. Middle office initiatives are focused on increasing Straight Through Processing (STP) rate of our offerings to drive scale across the Securities business; with an emphasis on high STP rate and quick query resolution, our aims is to provide seamless, best in the market client experience. This is to be achieved in part by a multi-layered system and flow convergence program, as well as consolidating functions across Operations to form a broader Equity middle office.


Responsibilities include:

· Perform pre-matching and fail oversight for trades in all domestic and global markets

· Resolve trade mismatch issues and follow up on fails

· Analyze and resolve trade related exceptions and issues promptly

· Process and facilitate client requested transactions; transfers, ADS conversions, IPOs, physical to electronic conversions etc.

· Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of GS executed PB trades

· Evaluate and escalate risk items to management and the business

· Query management; respond to various equity/fixed income related queries from the internal stakeholders and external clients

· Provide excellent client service and ensure seamless experience for our client

· Make suggestions for the improvement of process efficiencies & controls

· Maintain close relationships with multiple internal teams, which includes the account managers, risk managers, settlement teams etc

· Work very closely with other regional counterparts to ensure follow the sun / pass the book are maintained

· Act as primary point of escalation within team for risk items and incidents and further communication to senior management

· Provide oversight to ensure team coverage and daily tasks are accounted for

· Be accountable for team’s KRI / KPI and update weekly metrics for management reporting


Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Minimum of 5 years’ relevant Equity Middle Office trade processing experience

· Quick learner with an eye for detail and accuracy

· Good knowledge of Excel, Access and other Microsoft applications
