Purpose of the role
A successful Business Development Manager can create and maintain a strong network in the supply chain community, both digitally and in person. The BDM can drive revenue by seeing gaps in the supply chain of our potential customers and making sure these gaps are addressed by our software platform and/or consultancy services. Our target markets are Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines and you feel comfortable in those markets.
Skillset

- Research and target key decision-makers within potential client organizations
- Qualify leads based on established criteria to ensure alignment with Slimstock’s solutions
- Engage with prospects professionally and persuasively, effectively communicating Slimstock’s value proposition
- Collaborate with marketing and other commercial team members to align messaging and enhance outreach strategies
- Highly motivated self-starter with a collaborative spirit
- Demonstrated proficiency in relationship-building
- Utilize the CRM system to track lead interactions, update information, and ensure accurate reporting
- Document all communications and activities with prospects for future reference
- Strong communicator, both verbally and written, fluent in English, preferably with a second language
- This role will require travel
Experience
You will have 4 to 5 years' experience in a commercial role in either the supply chain or the B2B software industry. You're able to close deals by yourself or in a team. Use of professional social media and lead generation tools is a standard in our daily work routine.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for driving and attaining the New Business targets of Slimstock in Southeast Asia. You follow up on potential new deals within our CRM system. Next to that, you will act on opportunities to grow the in-person and digital network of Slimstock as the representative of our company. You are our representative during conferences, exhibitions and other in-person events.
