Business Development Director

Labgistics Asia Pte. Ltd.

This role is part of LABGISTICS Asia Pte Ltd's (LABG) Business Development Department under the Commercial Division. The jobholder is responsible for market expansion for the company. The role will also work with internal departments to build a strong team in driving and delivering the company’s strategic and operational goals. Successful candidate will report to General Manager of LABG.


Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and maximize new business development opportunities in providing a one-stop outsourced services (marketing, warehousing, distribution etc.)
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Optimize the efficiency of the overall expansion planning process with initiative work plans, meeting requirements, resource planning etc.
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Conceptualize, plan and execute appropriate marketing activities according to strategic needs
  • In-charge of the overall expenses and profitability of the segment
  • Research on market and industry trends
  • Any special projects and/or other assignments as delegated
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in Logistics, Business Management or related discipline
  • 5-10 years of business development, sales or channel management experience in lifescience and/or Logistics industry
  • Driven personality with a hunger to succeed
  • Prior exposure within 3PL Logistics industry will be an added advantage
  • Strong analytical and management skills
  • Able to adapt into the fast-paced industry
  • Willing to travel local & regional
