Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in the banking industry to lead a team in developing cutting-edge mobile applications.
The successful candidate will have a proven history of designing, building, and maintaining Android applications, with a focus on performance and scalability.
The Android Development Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class mobile banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Android development team, ensuring timely delivery of projects in line with product roadmaps.
- Work closely with product management to define short- and long-term development objectives.
- Architect and implement scalable, high-performance Android applications using MVVM and MVP design patterns.
- Develop new features and modules for mobile banking applications, ensuring top-tier solutions for credit card and financial services.
- Design and implement services, applications, and frameworks for mobile platforms, integrating RESTful services and micro frontends.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, ensuring performance optimization and scalability.
- Conduct unit testing, debug critical issues like memory leaks, concurrency problems, and crashes.
- Oversee build processes and environment configurations, generating builds .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, QA, and internal developers to maintain best practices in mobile application development.
- Mentor junior developers and onboard new team members to ensure a high-performing development team.
- Work within Agile frameworks, managing sprints and controlling JIRA workflows.
- Document architecture and technical implementations for internal and external use.
- Manage the full mobile application lifecycle, including design, build, deployment, debugging, and release management.
- Ensure all development activities are in compliance with high professional and ethical standards.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in Android development, with significant experience in leading development teams.
- Core Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK expertise.
- Proven experience in the banking sector, working on mobile applications in finance related industries.
- Strong experience with MVVM and MVP architecture patterns.
- Expertise in developing Android applications from scratch to deployment, including handling Google Play submission processes.
- Experience with RESTful services, microservices, and API integrations.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, build automation tools like Jenkins.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Applications or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in developing applications for banking and financial services.
- Ability to mentor and guide team members, promoting a collaborative team culture.
