Responsibilities
- Ensure the financial reports comply with accounting practices and meeting internal and external audit and regulatory requirements, as well as industry best practices.
- Plan, prepare, co-ordinate and monitor the preparation of financial statement and items to ensure accuracy, reliability and completeness
- Ensure the reports are prepared in accordance with the accounting standards, statutory requirements, Insurance Act and ACRA Guidelines, and/or other regulatory bodies.
- Produce any required financial analysis for all Funds and variance analysis between IFRS17 and IFRS4 basis.
- Liaise with actuary, tax agents, internal and external auditors for actuary, audit related matters and queries.
- Ensure internal controls and SOP are updated and reviewed regularly.
- Monitor team members’ daily work to ensure that the allocated tasks are completed within agreed timeline.
- Assist with ad-hoc duties assigned
Requirements
- Degree or professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial reporting role for Life insurance.
- Comfortable to work within tight timelines.
- Proficient with MS Office
