Enrolled nurse must perform professional health screening to school students. Ensure school-based health screening programmes are completed within the set time frame and targets are met.
Responsibilities
• Perform setting up of health screening premises.
• Checking review list for different level of students screened
• Perform briefing to all students on Forward Bending Test (FBT) and pubertal assessment for Sec 2
• Perform health interview and FBT.
• Follow up with students regarding their clinic appointments.
• Furnish referral letter for students who require further examinations and/or follow up at Optometrist or Student Health Centre, if necessary
• Printing and checking of Health Assessment Summary Report and referral letters if necessary.
• Ensure all readings/ measurement (e.g. FBT readings, puberty age etc) are updated in simplified class lists
• Collation of team statistic for FBT and health interview done and update in SN file
• Collation of referral statistic and checking of EN and SN file, making sure all are updated and tallied with Team Leader
• Report to Team Leader on any issues (e.g. faulty equipment, comments received from students/ Teachers/ School liaison personnel)
• Guide new nurses / health screening assistants
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned in accordance with changes in school-based health screening, immunisation and cardiovascular risk factor assessment programmes in scheduled primary and secondary schools.
Requirements
• Nitec in Nursing or equivalent
• Must be registrable with Singapore Nursing Board
• At least 2 years relevant working experience
• Pleasant personality with good team spirit and interpersonal skills
• Ability to project and maintain the identity and image of the Company with proper dress code, courtesy, and customer-handling skills.
• Working hours: 5 days from Mondays to Fridays, and 1 Saturday per month.
• Must be willing to travel to different schools according to roster.
