JOB DESCRIPTION
- The AEIS (Admissions Exercise for International Students) Academic Manager will be responsible for designing and developing a comprehensive AEIS preparatory programme.
- Ensure that the curriculum aligns with the AEIS exam requirements set by the Ministry of Education, Singapore, and prepares students for successful admission into Singapore schools.
- Develop a robust curriculum that provides students with the necessary academic knowledge, skills, and strategies to excel in the AEIS examination. This includes curriculum design, programme structure, teaching resources, and performance assessments.
The AEIS Academic Manager will be responsible for the following:
A. Curriculum Development
- Design a comprehensive AEIS curriculum for primary and secondary levels that covers key subjects: English and Mathematics.
- Ensure alignment with the AEIS exam structure and standards.
- Develop a detailed syllabus, lesson plans, and teaching materials for each subject and level.
- Integrate a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge, practical problem-solving skills, and exam techniques.
B. Programme Structure
- Define the overall structure of the AEIS preparatory course, including duration, number of contact hours, and recommended class sizes.
- Provide clear learning outcomes for each level and subject.
- Outline milestones and assessment checkpoints to track student progress.
C. Teaching Resources
- Identify and recommend relevant textbooks, online resources, and supplementary materials for both teachers and students.
- Develop mock exams and practice questions that reflect the AEIS exam format and difficulty level.
D. Teacher Training
- Provide guidance and support in training teachers to deliver the AEIS preparatory curriculum effectively.
- Conduct workshops or training sessions for teachers to familiarize them with the curriculum and teaching methodologies.
E. Student Assessments
- Design assessment tools to evaluate student performance at different stages of the programme.
- Provide recommendations on grading systems, feedback mechanisms, and performance improvement strategies.
F. Programme Review and Evaluation
- Establish a system for periodic review and evaluation of the programme’s effectiveness.
- Incorporate feedback from teachers, students, and other stakeholders to make continuous improvements to the curriculum.
G. Reporting and Documentation
- Submit a comprehensive report detailing the curriculum, teaching strategies, and programme framework.
- Provide documentation of all materials developed, including lesson plans, assessments, and recommended resources.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Position is on a project basis (duration of 6 months)
