[What the role is]
You will play an active role in developing and transforming the Environmental Services (ES) industry to establish a vibrant and world class environmental industry in providing reliable and professional services for a clean and green Singapore. Working closely with tripartite partners, you will be part of a team that oversees the development, implementation and review of initiatives to spur workforce transformation, focusing on improving the image and working conditions of the ES workforce to ensure a sustainable manpower supply for the ES industry.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Develop and implement manpower polices and strategies to build a resilient and skilled manpower pipeline for the ES Industry.
• Develop and drive adoption of good HR capabilities as part of workforce transformation.
• Formulate, recommend and review policies, guidelines, and measures (e.g. Progressive Wage Models etc.) to build a skilled and resilient workforce.
• Organise events and activities to raise awareness of the jobs and opportunities within the ES industry, and support the industry’s appreciation efforts.
• Prepare policy papers and briefs to facilitate timely updates to senior management.
• Prepare and deliver presentations at platforms involving senior public officers and other partner stakeholders.
• Perform secretariat duties for various meeting and approval platforms.
[What we are looking for]
The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
• Work experience in industry development, HR, communications and branding, and events management
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• A good team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Comfortable liaising with and presenting to senior management
• Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
• Able to multi-task and work within tight deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office e.g. Excel, Powerpoint presentations etc.
• Knowledge of the Environmental Services Industry (cleaning, waste and pest management sectors) would be advantageous
• Candidates with relevant experience will be considered for a more senior position
