We are looking for the Head of ESG Advisory based out of Singapore for one of our clients in Singapore.

Job Summary:
The Head - ESG Advisory will lead ESG consulting projects, ensuring compliance with international ESG standards and providing strategic sustainability advisory to clients. The role also involves driving business development, developing ESG frameworks, and reporting systems that align with regulatory requirements.
This position is ideal for professionals with a deep understanding of ESG compliance, consulting experience, and a knack for business development in the sustainability space. The ideal candidate will have 10-20 years of experience in ESG advisory/consulting, ESG compliance reporting, and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- ESG Advisory & Consulting: Lead client engagements to design and implement ESG strategies aligned with business objectives, regulatory standards, and stakeholder expectations.
- Provide advisory on ESG compliance, reporting, and disclosures, ensuring adherence to frameworks like GRI, SASB, TCFD, and SDGs.
- Conduct materiality assessments, ESG risk analysis, and impact assessments for various industries (e.g., energy, manufacturing, financial services).
- Guide clients on ESG data collection, measurement, and reporting processes to improve transparency and sustainability performance.
- ESG Compliance & Reporting: Manage ESG reporting processes, including compliance with local and global ESG regulations (SEBI, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, etc.).
- Advise on sustainability disclosure and reporting, including nonfinancial reporting under global frameworks like CDP, ISSB, and integrated reporting standards.
- Oversee audits and assessments of sustainability metrics, supporting clients in meeting ESG regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper alignment between ESG initiatives and financial reporting processes.
- Business Development: Drive business growth by identifying and securing new client opportunities, developing proposals, and negotiating contracts for ESG consulting projects.
- Leverage industry knowledge to expand the company’s ESG consulting services across sectors, including healthcare, finance, technology, and industrials.
- Build strong client relationships and maintain a pipeline of prospective ESG advisory engagements.
- Develop thought leadership on emerging ESG trends, sustainability risks, and compliance challenges.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key contact for client queries related to ESG advisory and compliance services.
- Build relationships with regulatory bodies, investors, NGOs, and other stakeholders to stay updated on the evolving ESG landscape.
- Provide ESG capacity building initiatives and workshops to clients and internal teams.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of ESG consultants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality advisory services.
- Promote continuous learning within the team to stay informed about global sustainability trends and regulatory updates.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams to enhance client outcomes.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 10 plus years of ESG advisory/consulting experience, with significant exposure to ESG compliance reporting and business development. In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks and standards such as GRI, CDP, SASB, TCFD, UN SDGs, and ISSB.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing ESG strategies for corporates, including compliance reporting and sustainability disclosures.
- Strong experience in business development and client relationship management in ESG services.
