Job Overview:
As a Senior Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for leading piping projects, ensuring technical precision, and overseeing all aspects of piping design and implementation. You will coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who excels in a leadership capacity and is passionate about driving engineering innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of piping layouts, material take-offs (MTO), and 3D model reviews for complex piping systems.
- Interpret stress/vibration analysis results and provide technical guidance.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for smooth integration of piping systems.
- Oversee specifications for piping arrangements, support standards, and material selection.
- Conduct progress reviews and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster quality and efficiency in the design process.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the piping department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 12 years of experience in piping design, stress evaluation, and construction engineering support, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D model review software (e.g., Naviswork or SPR).
- Strong technical understanding of piping stress/vibration analysis, material selection, and system design.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
