Executive / Senior Executive, Sport Pathway Development

Singapore Badminton Association

Key Role

· Develop event directives, policies and new documents as required.

· Assist RO with managing of administrative matters.

· Work closely with different departments of SBA for successful delivery of processes.

· Any other duties assigned by RO.


SBA Sanctioned Events

· Assist in bidding process for event allocations.

· To manage SBA Sanction Event Organisers (EO) and ensure they adhere to SBA’s Sanction Events Handbook when executing the event.

· To assist and provide support for SBA Sanctioned Events (i.e. checking of prospectus, seeding report etc).

· Ensure EO submit post event report and evaluate their KPI for awarding of event grants.

· Updating of SBA’s Event Calendar in SBA website.


National Open Championships (NOC)

· To manage and assist with the organising of NOC that includes, but not limited to, venue set up, equipment from sponsors (i.e., shuttlecock), publication of prospectus and other logistics and operations to ensure a successful event.

· Coordinate with Referee and Deputy Referee on the competition requirement.

· Work with marketing team for stakeholders’ management. i.e., sponsors and SBA Board Members.


International Badminton Events in Singapore (i.e., Singapore Badminton Open and Singapore International Challenge)

· To coordinate with BWF, BAC, Appointed Referee Team and any other key stakeholders to manage entries, accreditations of players and other competition-related matters.

· To assist RO with, but not limited to, event set up, logistics arrangement, event experience for spectators, ticketing strategies, merchandise plan and any other event ideas/operations that can boost the event branding as host country.


Technical Officials (TO)

· To manage the existing database of Referees, Umpires and Line Judges locally.

· Assist in preparing a development pathway to upgrade the existing pool of TO.

· To manage courses for technical officials (Referee, Umpire and Line Judges).

· Manage recruitment and selection of TO for SBA Sanctioned Events, NOC and International Badminton Events in Singapore.

· Coordinate with BWF/BAC/Member Associations on nomination of umpires for exchange programme or overseas officiating duties.

· Coordinate with BWF and BAC for Referee and/or Umpire courses for our national referees/umpires to be certified as International Referee/Umpire.

· Handle administrative matters and updating of data relating to technical officials.


SBA Tournament Software

· To manage SBA Tournament Software database such as ranking updates and players’ profiles.

· To maintain National Ranking System.


Requirement

· Minimum ITE/Diploma/Degree in Events and/or Sports Management or related disciplines.

· Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

· Critical thinking, resourceful and good interpersonal skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, social media platforms and other relevant digital tools.

· Self-motivated and can work under pressure.
