Electrical Project Manager (LTA Project)

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, governance, and organization for the project team, ensuring effective management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee resource planning, recruitment, training, development, and retention for the project team.
  • Plan and recruit Project Engineers, Designers, and Drafters based on project needs.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor Project Engineers, Designers, and Drafters.
  • Manage the semi-annual and annual appraisal processes for the project team, supporting their professional and career growth.
  • Execute all assigned projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, design, procurement, construction, contractual obligations, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure that competent Project Engineers, Designers, and Drafters are assigned to each project.
  • Maintain compliance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP) during project execution.
  • Coordinate with all project stakeholders, including owners, clients, consultants, subcontractors, third parties, and internal teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Approve Purchase Requisitions and invoices promptly to facilitate purchase orders and payments to suppliers.
  • Control project costs, including site expenditures, to maintain profit margins.
  • Obtain approval for any additional work through Variation Order Requests before proceeding.
  • Manage project cash flow by submitting and obtaining approval for progress claims in line with on-site work progress.
  • Achieve project objectives, such as timely delivery and cost control within budget.
  • Escalate challenges to the Managing Director (MD) as needed for timely resolution.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the project team to review project status updates.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Degree or Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in various software, including MS Office and MS Project/Primavera.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of professional interaction with all levels both internally and externally.
