Description
- Oversee the transition of projects from the tender or sales team to the execution phase.
- Define PEPL’s Scope of Work and create a project schedule, including document and material submission lists, material lead times, and timelines for installation and testing.
- Develop submission lists for documents and materials, and prepare the necessary submissions.
- Design and review drawings and documents to ensure timely submissions to the customer.
- Track submissions and follow up with customers to secure prompt approvals for documents and materials.
- Prepare Purchase Requisitions to procure essential project materials on time and coordinate with the purchasing team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Plan site manpower requirements alongside the Superintendent.
- Coordinate with the Superintendent, Construction Manager, and Site Supervisor on site activities, including installation, testing, commissioning, and progress reporting.
- Regularly update the project schedule and prepare weekly or monthly progress reports for both internal stakeholders and customers.
- Participate in customer meetings, proactively manage expectations, and prepare agendas, minutes, and necessary submissions.
- Control project costs within the allocated budget.
- Maintain the Change Order Log, manage scope changes, and prepare RFIs or VORs, securing Variation Orders from customers before implementing changes.
- Prepare and follow up on Progress Claims, and maintain a Progress Claim Summary report.
- Escalate any challenges or issues to the Project Manager and management for timely resolution.
- Collaborate with customers, consultants, owners, third parties, suppliers, and internal team members to ensure successful project execution.
- Organize and coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for essential equipment.
- Conduct a pre-punch list walk-through with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
- Work with the site team to resolve punch list defects.
- Provide customer training on necessary equipment, as applicable.
- Gather all handover and completion documents for the project.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health standards during project execution.
- Arrange safety training sessions for project and site team members.
- Adhere to the Project Quality Plan (PQP) throughout project execution.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Over 3 years of project management experience in a relevant area.
- Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of professional interaction with all levels, both internally and externally.
