Duration of Service:
- Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025
- Option to Extend: The Contractor grants the Authority the option to extend the Contract for a further period of 1 year, from 1 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
- Mondays to Fridays: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break.
- Daily start time may be subject to change based on timetable for the semester but the number of hours daily is fixed.
- A total of 8 weeks of service will not be required for each year:2 weeks during June school holidays
6 weeks during November-December school holidays
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Scope of Services:
Daily Food Lab Duties:
- Upkeep of kitchens, including general cleanliness of food lab equipment, tabletops (workbench and students’ tables), floor, and sinks.
- Assist in preparing the Food Laboratory for Food and Consumer Education (FCE) and Nutrition & Food Science (NFS) lessons and practical exams, including the preparation of food (e.g., portioning and distributing the food).
- Regular checks and management of utensils and cookware at the individual workstations, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Management of ingredients in the fridge, upkeep of organization and cleanliness of the fridge, and discarding expired ingredients.
- Regular stock taking of existing ingredients and update the Food lab Teacher IC when required.
Weekly Food Lab Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness of ovens and stoves.
- Arrangement of equipment and utensils.
- Arrangement of students’ tables and chairs.
Adhoc Duties:
- Assist in culinary workshops conducted as part of the school enrichment program (e.g., preparation of ingredients and cleaning up).
- Support school-based activities involving the use of food laboratories.
- Supervise students in the food laboratory during the absence of the teacher (e.g., emergency toilet break).
Admin Duties:
- Ensure goods delivered are as per order.
- Ensure proper storage of goods when delivered.
- Any other duties when required/assigned by Teacher(s)-In-Charge.
Qualification, Skills & Experience of the Contractor’s Personnel:
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Preferably with PSLE certificate. Those without a PSLE certificate, but with relevant experience and expertise, may also apply.
- Good inter-personal communication skills.
- Proficient in English as a medium of verbal and written communication with basic reading and writing skills.
- Preferably with experience in the school’s Food Laboratory duties and basic knowledge of food safety and preparation.
