Information Technology Consultant

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Information Technology Consultant with a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, engineering, and project management. The candidate should have a strong background in information security, with experience in implementing security projects and managing data center activities. This role requires excellent technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex IT systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Antivirus and Security Solutions:

• Provide expertise in Antivirus Solutions/Endpoint AV Solutions and Web Filtering solutions (Cloud-based Proxy, Database Security).
• Manage security devices such as SIEM, PIM, IDS/IPS, Web Filtering solutions, and Email gateway solutions.

1. Project Implementation & Lifecycle:

• Handle the entire project lifecycle from concept to implementation, particularly for information security projects.
• Work flexibly to find alternative solutions or workarounds where security issues conflict with available resources or designs.

1. Technical Security Expertise:

• Analyze and prepare vulnerability assessment reports using tools like Nessus Security Center.
• Provide comprehensive security testing for applications, focusing on Web application security, Privilege management, Data validation, Access control, and Cryptography.
• Ensure proper risk assessment and application of security frameworks across all IT projects.

1. Operating Systems & Network Security:

• Strong knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows/Linux) and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Web servers and Database systems (Oracle/MS SQL) is an added advantage.

1. Data Center & Security Management:

• Manage and monitor security measures within networked systems.
• Oversee data center operations and ensure all activities align with security best practices.

1. Client Management & Collaboration:

• Maintain strong client relationships and effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of IT security solutions.

1. Compliance & Reporting:

• Stay current with industry standards, software technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop security devices and software that ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Generate security reports and maintain comprehensive documentation on security systems and processes.

1. ITSM Process Management:

• Manage ITSM processes such as Change Management, Incident Management, and Release Management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in IT consultancy and information security.

Desirable Certifications:

• CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certifications.
• Cloud Security and product-related certifications (Zscaler, Proofpoint, Akamai) are a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in IDS/IPS, traffic aggregators, WAF solutions, and Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) management.
• Expertise in Web Filtering solutions (Zscaler/WSS/McAfee) and Email Gateway solutions (Proofpoint).
• Knowledge of DDoS protection and WAF solutions (Akamai).
