Job description Resident Engineer (IBM & AIX)
* Provide Level 1-2 support for IBM AIX operating systems and related technologies
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues on IBM AIX systems.
* Perform system administration tasks such as installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX servers.
* Proficient in virtualization technologies such as SR-IOV,SEA, PowerVM Virtual I/O Server (VIOS), HACMP, Spectrum Scale(GPFS)
* Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
* To perform disaster recovery support and testing on IBM Aix systems.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate AIX systems into the overall IT infrastructure.
* Develop and maintain documentation related to AIX systems and configurations.
* Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner.
* Identify and implement security measures to protect AIX systems from potential threats.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in AIX and related technologies.
* Experience in managing complex AIX environments.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Relevant certifications, such as IBM Certified Specialist - Power Systems or IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert - Power Systems, are a plus.
