About the Client:
Client is a well known local listed retail group.
Overview:
As a Senior Manager, Financial Operations, you will:
- Play a key role in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial statements promptly.
- You will oversee month-end closings, financial reporting, and manage the entire financial cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger tasks.
- Additionally, you will ensure accurate cash management, maintain compliance with internal controls, and coordinate with auditors, bankers, and tax agents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
- Oversee month-end closings and review financial statements for management.
- Manage financial reporting, including general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, and cash receipts.
- Monitor daily cash management and inventory in collaboration with department heads.
- Review audit schedules, reconciliations, and quarterly reports for Regional Finance submission.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, prepare GST returns, and reconcile accounts.
- Regularly assess financial performance, provide variance analysis, and recommend operational improvements.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment adhering to company policies and accounting standards.
- Handle non-standard accounting transactions and liaise with external stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification.
- 5–8 years of supervisory experience, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong Excel proficiency, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work across departments and manage supplier/vendor relations.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking under pressure.
