Project Development Head
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide guidance to team on all project development related work including cost estimation, site survey, technical proposal to customers, basic engineering, project / EPC contracting strategy, all technical solutions, etc.
- Provide leadership to strategically manage risk, monitor finances and ensure each phase of work is started or completed on time.
- Formulate strategy and operational plans for each project.
- Develop and implement project quality procedures
- Making strategic decisions in a timely manner and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions
- Devising cost-effective plans and strategies during project development
- Provide leadership, advice, guidance, and coaching to the project managers and developing each individual to be well rounded and skilled in all aspects of project management and engineering
- Coordinating projects resource in order to ensure optimum resource strength at all times
- Ensure optimum performance from the Projects team through optimum resource loading, monitoring of individual and team morale, development of close relationships and development of team camaraderie
- Meeting with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress
- Liaising with stakeholders and building strong working relationships
- Reporting progress to senior leadership
- Ensure all activities carried out are in full compliance to all regulatory and authority requirement
- Build up competency level of project personnel to support business and operational needs.
- Support setting-up and maintenance of system and procedures (SOP, etc.) for projects development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Project Management or equivalent.
- At least 15 years of experience in EPC turnkey project development and execution.
- Experience in renewable energy, energy & utilities, and process plant projects are preferred.
