About The Role
We are looking for a passionate Production Technician to join our team in Jurong Island, Singapore. This role will focus on supporting the day team operations of the antioxidants manufacturing plant and ensure compliance to all production, EHS and quality standards in accordance with local and company’s regulations and SOPs. You will be responsible to support Day Shift Leader/Production Manager on special tasks and improvement projects.
How You Will Do It
Good knowledge of Blending, Compacting, tank farm, packaging, and utility section to fulfill the responsibilities as follows:
- Operate Tank Farm, Compactor/ Blending and Packing Lines in accordance with the laid down procedures and as instructed by Day Shift Production Manager or his assigned Deputy
- Supervise other leasing staff in ensuring packaging and tank farm operations are executed in a safe and correct manner and in line with quality expectations
- Ensure correct day shift hand over of ongoing activities, liaise and communicate with the rotating shift teams and logistics team as needed to facilitate smooth execution of tank farm operations and packaging operations
- Maintain high level housekeeping of the units and surrounding areas, keeping tank farm and the packaging line areas safe and clean as well as assisting with site waste management concept for disposal
- Ensure temporary equipment charges, process documentation and software changes etc. are properly recorded.
- In case of emergency, to perform the activities of a firefighting brigade member after shutting down the plant safely as per the emergency shutdown procedure.
- Troubleshoot where required, initiates corrective measures in concurrence with day supervisor and maintain proper documentation trail with temporary equipment change
- Report all accident, injury, near miss, unsafe conditions and behaviour promptly to immediate supervisor so that remedial action can be taken to eliminate risks.
- Ensure to adhere to safety protocols. This includes keeping up to date with EHS risk assessments and using PPE as stipulated for the job.
What We Look For
- O-levels/A-levels, NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an automated chemical process plant or packaging line in a similar role.
- Familiarity with both Panel (DCS) and field operations for blending, tank farm and packaging
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office programs and use of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and SAP PM module for creating documents such as delivery notes, scanning of raw material and finished products.
- Able to work in Jurong Island.
- Able to work on shift if required.
