Shipbroker | Up to $3.5k | 5 Days | Fort Canning
Working Days: 5 days, 9am-5.30pm (Might be beyond office hours due to industry nature)
Salary: $3000 -$3500
Location: UE Square (Fort Canning)
Intro:
You will work alongside our experienced Brokers to help strengthen relationships with existing clients for sales and help develop new businesses.
The main role is to act as an intermediary/negotiator between shipowners and charterers to arrange freight transportation.
Job scope:
- Understudy and hands on operational aspects of a Charter party.
- Maintain databases and market information and reports for clients.
- Support the day-to-day activities of the Senior Brokers.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
- Prepare reports and analysis for existing/incoming customers.
- Help to manage internal data flow of key market information.
- Attend meetings and events with clients where required.
- Carry out post fixture support in a prompt and efficient manner.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Maritime studies
- Proficient in MS office skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
