We are seeking an experienced Bulk Timber and Palm Oil Products Trade Manager to lead and expand our Group's international trading operations. This pivotal role provides a dynamic environment with opportunities to drive the trade of bulk timber and palm oil products, essential to our global import and export business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage trading activities for bulk timber and palm oil products.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and customers to secure contracts.
- Track market trends and trading risks, providing updates to management.
- Report on trading performance, profitability, and day-to-day operations.
- Create business plans and budgets for timber and palm oil trading.
- Work with suppliers, logistics teams, and financial partners to ensure smooth trading operations.
- Stay informed on global market changes affecting timber and palm oil trade.
- Explore new market opportunities and potential partnerships.
- Oversee support functions like documentation, finance, and logistics.
- Follow risk management and credit policies.
Requirements:
- A recognized degree in agriculture, business, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in trading bulk products, ideally including timber and palm oil.
- Proven success in growing trade activities and profitability.
- Knowledge of global supply chains and trade regulations for timber and palm oil.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to market changes and manage multiple tasks.
- Passion for the timber and palm oil industries, with a proactive attitude.
