NES Fircroft has partnered with our client, a leading Marine Equipment Manufacturer, to seek a highly skilled and dedicated Service Engineer (Technical Admin) to join their team. This role is critical for ensuring the seamless technical operation and maintenance of their equipment and systems.
Job Summary:
The Service Engineer (Technical Admin) will be responsible for overseeing technical operations on board. This includes training engineers and agents, supporting office work, attending onsite for maintenance, inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and modifications. The Service Engineer will manage field activities and schedules, resolve malfunctions, oversee repairs and technical improvements, install new systems and technology, and ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment. Additionally, the role involves supervising and directing technicians/engineers onsite, making detailed service reports, providing technical support, arranging necessary parts and drawings, maintaining tools, creating manuals/support documents, collaborating with team members, gathering customer feedback, and reviewing maintenance lists and service reports for sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main person in charge on board for all technical operations.
- Conduct training sessions for engineers and agents to ensure high standards of technical proficiency.
- Assist with office work related to technical operations and provide technical support for customers, service agents, and internal teams.
- Attend onboard for maintenance, inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, and modifications.
- Manage field activities and schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks.
- Resolve malfunctions or other crises promptly and efficiently.
- Oversee repairs and implement technical improvements as needed.
- Install new systems and technology onboard.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of onsite equipment.
- Supervise and direct technicians and engineers onsite.
- Prepare detailed service reports that include job progress, working/traveling time, and technical advice/recommendations.
- Report and share job progress with superiors (team leader and above).
- Provide technical support to customers, service agents, and internal teams. Arrange necessary parts and drawings and send them to agents if assigned.
- Maintain tools in good condition for safety and high-quality service.
- Create manuals and support documents to share experiences and knowledge with other engineers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.
- Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share it with internal teams.
- Review maintenance lists and service reports to support sales efforts.
- Cover all technician responsibilities as required.

- Proven experience in a similar role within the marine or technical engineering industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel and work onboard as required.
