The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. At SBS, our research spans various areas, including infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases, telomere biology, and genome function. Over the years, SBS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.


Position Available: Research Fellow


We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join the laboratory of Professor Liang Zhao-Xun at SBS. The successful candidate will contribute to a project focused on the design of artificial enzymes, utilizing deep-learning techniques to drive protein design.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Computational design of enzymes
  • Installation and maintenance of UNIX/LINUX workstations
  • Be part of the team to carry out DBTL design of enzymes and activity testing
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in Biology or related areas, with a focus on protein structure and function
  • Experience in computational biology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with coding and various operating systems
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply
