Fundraising Lead

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and working with the EQUAL Board, Fundraising Committee and the

Outreach and Development department, you will spearhead and drive fundraising and donor development efforts for

EQUAL. You will develop a comprehensive fundraising and donor development strategy to meet fundraising targets,

supported by impactful events and campaigns. The scope includes:


1. Strategic Relationship Development and Networking: Identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with a

diverse array of stakeholders, including individual donors, corporate sponsors, and grant institutions, with a good fit with

EQUAL’s vision and purpose.

2. Donor Stewardship and CRM Utilisation: Manage donor relationships through effective use of donor management

systems, ensuring ongoing engagement and retention of existing supporters.

3. Resource Mobilisation and Financial Acumen: Develop and implement strategies to increase EQUAL’s financial

reserves through fundraising and grant-raising opportunities in alignment with EQUAL’s goals.

4. Analytical Planning and Performance Metrics: Setting, monitoring, and evaluating fundraising targets and

performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and make data-driven decisions.


MORE ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a managerial-level, key individual contributor role with no direct reports but will be supported by the Outreach &

Development department when necessary. It is a role which can accommodate flexible working arrangements if

needed. You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. On occasion, you may be activated on weekends and

public holidays if there are fundraising-related programmes or events. You may also be required to serve on other

inter-related areas and specials projects assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or the Board. This role is for an initial

18-month contract, for assessment towards to a longer-term role.


EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES

Preferred Experience

- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in fundraising, grant-raising, partnerships or related fields.

- Prior experience in the social services sector will be an advantage.

- Proven track record in raising funds and achieving targets.

Technical Competencies

- Ability to produce and deliver funding proposals and pitches.

- Strong writing skills.

- Competency in data analytics for fundraising and donor management platforms.

- Good interpersonal skills to engage multiple stakeholders, strong

analytical skills.
